I am a counsellor-in-training with a Master’s degree in Counselling and advanced training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, grief and loss counselling, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My clinical focus is on women’s mental health, with a particular interest in maternal wellbeing and family adjustment.

Before moving to Canada, I worked as a family physician in my home country, where I witnessed the deep connection between emotional and physical health within families. This experience led me to pursue psychotherapy as a path to support women more holistically; helping them navigate anxiety, depression, identity changes, and the emotional transitions that accompany motherhood and family life.

As a mother of two boys and a newcomer to Canada, I understand the challenges that arise from balancing personal growth, cultural adjustment, and family responsibilities. I aim to create a warm, empathetic, and culturally sensitive counselling environment where women and families feel understood, validated, and supported in their healing journeys.

Fluent in Arabic, English, and French, I am passionate about making mental health care accessible and inclusive. I look forward to contributing to the Life With a Baby community and supporting mothers and families through the complex and meaningful experience of parenthood.
